  Amazing lounge with fire place, food is unbelievably good, best breakfast ever. Staff so helpful and friendly. Each room is so unique, lots of rooms recently refurbished to an amazing standard. Definitely worth the visit whatever's the season

  Lovely decor, original luxury stylings, unique rooms, comfy bed and great food. However, a few drawbacks:
  
  - unannounced construction noise right outside our room started at 9am each day
  - one morning, breakfast was delivered with one wrong dish and the other dish with rock solid poached eggs. Other days it was fine.
  - wonderful rainfall shower in room 19, but alas I can't fit under it! In fact you won't fit under it either unless you're no taller than about 5' 9".
  
  I complained about the noise after checking out and the hotel was very apologetic and explained how they were changing things in response.
  
  It feels like this will be a fantastic place to stay when the construction is done and the niggles are worked out.

  Very nicely designed place, but a few unfortunate faults:
  
  Room needed a good hoovering, rub had A LOT of previous guests hairs which wasnt appealling.
  
  Felt like an unfriendly welcome from a busy reception/bar staff. Didnt ask for names or anything after our early arrival. Were told to leave bags in the middle of the bar area with no explanation of where they would be stored.
  
  Thin windows meant outside noise was very noticeable. Music from downstairs dining/bar area was heard through the floor.
  
  These issues aside, the bed and shower were lovely. Breakfast was nice. And the place was very stylish and a joy to behold.
